  1. Very interesting article. Vilsack really has thought about these issues deeply. I am still no fan of the Democratic party though. But surely, sincerely trying to address the issues of rural people would be great. Calling them a “basket of deplorables” because they won’t vote for you, well, if you think that, you are asking for trouble if you’re a politician. Above all, people want to be respected, not looked down on.
